World Wide Wrestling Heavyweight Champion
Bob Backlund, the first champion to wear
the Big Green WWF belt after the company
changed its name from WWWF in 1983.
The “Big Green” WWF Championship belt was only held by Bob Backlund, The Iron Sheik and Hulk Hogan and was used as the first WWF belt after the company name was changed from WWWF.
The replica that Wildcat Belts produces reads:
“World Wide Wrestling” on the top banners.
(It can not legally read “World Wrestling Federation”)
The side plates include the date ranges of the first 8 WWF championship reigns. (The names of the wrestlers that held the title are not included as none of them have given legal permission to use their names for profit.)
Wildcat Belts produces the most historically accurate, legal reproduction of the “Big Green” WWF championship belt. Circa 1983-84.
